Charlie Munger had a concept for being smart: just don’t be stupid. It sounds simple, maybe even crazy, but think about it for a second. It can apply to diets in your life.

To be healthy, you’d think one would have to buy fruits and vegetables and learn how to prepare a decent meal (which will take some time). You’d also think of committing to a gym membership and workout regimen. There’s so many views about which exercise is the best that it gets confusing. You’d have to shift your entire life just to be healthy.

But what if you just tried not to be unhealthy? Okay, well, what do unhealthy people generally do? Say, eat 4 donuts after dinner. Well, if you just stop eating donuts, then you’re already doing great.

When tackling problems, usually trying the opposite of the solution could also be a solution.
